JV’67 cherry red

Inspired by the iconic Flying V played by Andy Powell of Wishbone Ash, our JV’67 is an exciting addition to our range.

Made from hand selected 100 year old reclaimed mahogany, this two piece chambered body has plenty of natural sustain and resonance. The neck is carved from from the same quarter sawn mahogany, creating a very stable neck with a great feel. Dark rosewood fingerboard inlayed in mother of pearl dots with a 12th fret 'wave' marker.

Bare Knuckle humbuckers are fitted as standard with a 'Mule' humbucker in the neck position for its outstanding clarity, extended dynamic range and unmistakable vintage character. With a 'Riff Raff' pickup is selected in the bridge position for plenty of snap and a classic range of organic, clean and driven tones. Pickups are mounted with plastic surrounds that attach to the pickguard like on Andy Powell's V.

All hardware is plated in nickel and of high quality. A Maestro Vibrola tremolo comes as standard but we also offer a Faber tuneomatic bridge and lightweight aluminium stop bar. Gotoh vintage tuners guarantee fine tuning and smooth operation. The guitar is fitted with high quality US made CTS pots and Switchcraft toggle switch. A 50’s wiring scheme is used in all our guitars as we have found that this minimises treble loss when rolling back the volume.
